Unfolding Stories 2026 traces the rich history and content of the Richard and Carole Cocks Art Museum’s Collection from the perspectives of visual artists, art historians, dancers, and architects. From art historical research to experimental animation/video, and mixed media installation, this project encompasses a wide array of studies, interpretations, and expressions in response to the museum’s collection from pre-Columbian artifacts to contemporary art. The result of these multifaceted creative endeavors is showcased through projection mapping events, exhibitions, artist talks, a webinar, and catalog production. During Art 281 Contemporary Art Forum, faculty and students from Studio Art, Dance, and Architecture & Interior Design will discuss their new works produced in response to the RCCAM Collection.
