About the Oberlin-Como Piano Program

Started in 2016, the Oberlin-Como piano program is an exclusive partnership between Oberlin Conservatory and the International Piano Academy Lake Como in Italy. Each year, “Oberlin-Como Fellows” are selected from applicants worldwide and work with Oberlin faculty and artist-teachers who give master classes at Oberlin throughout the academic year. Oberlin may also designate exceptional piano students enrolled at Oberlin Conservatory as “Oberlin-Como Young Artists” who also participate in master classes with these visiting artist-teachers.

All master classes and recitals presented as part of the Oberlin-Como piano program are free and open to the public. Past Oberlin-Como artist-teachers have included Richard Goode, Tamás Vásáry, Peter Frankl, and Paul Badura-Skoda.
