Meghan O'Gieblyn, author of Interior States (2018) and God, Human, Animal, Machine (2021), will be in conversation with Professor Laura Wittman on Tuesday, October 13th, at Levinthal Hall in the Stanford Humanities Center. Meghan will discuss her new book, Will and Attention (2026): at once an undefended account of her relapse into alcoholism, an investigation of the concept of attention, and an exquisitely written meditation on the limits of the self's ability to will its own change.
This event is hosted by 'What is Attention Today?' a research workshop sponsored by the Stanford Humanities Center.
