Honors Stone Soup Lunch

On the second Wednesdays of each month during the academic year, the Honors College invites faculty, staff, and community members to join for a low-key, no agenda soup lunch.

We call it a Stone Soup lunch to evoke a tradition of communal soup-making, with each individual contributing whatever ingredient they have. In our case, the soup will already be ready to eat, but the conversation will be concocted from what each of us brings to it.

We invite two Soup Starters™ to get the conversation started, sharing something professional or personal, profound or mundane. Their offerings launch the conversation, organically evolving as attendees respond and share with their colleagues.

First time attendees will receive their own Honors College soup mug. Bring it back to future Stone Soup lunches for a sustainable refill.
