This workshop aims to help faculty who participate in interprofessional education to improve their interprofessional teaching skills and create a cadre of faculty trained to observe and provide feedback on teaching in interprofessional contexts. Many faculty did not receive interprofessional education in their own training and as a result struggle with teaching in interprofessional settings. In this highly interactive workshop participants will share their interprofessional teaching challenges and tips, practice techniques and learn how to conduct a peer teaching observation and provide feedback focused on interprofessional teaching. By learning from, with and about each other, participants become part of a community of interprofessional educators who support each other in skill development.
Target Audience: This session is open to all faculty across UCSF health professional schools interested in expanding their skills as interprofessional educators. The Teach for UCSF Certificate on Interprofessional Teaching is highly recommended.
