How do students become resilient learners?

Faculty often intuitively understand that challenge is necessary for growth, but how do we help students rise to those challenges amid competing demands in their lives? Research on effective teaching points to Warm Demander pedagogy, a research-informed approach of holding students to high expectations while demonstrating genuine care and support.

In this Lunch & Learn, participants will learn about Aims students based on findings from the Healthy Minds Study, explore Warm Demander pedagogy, complete a short self-assessment to reflect on their current teaching practices, and discuss ways to move toward adopting a Warm Demander approach in their teaching.

Join on Friday, October 16, from noon-1:30 p.m., in person.

RSVP Now to Reserve Your Spot!

Note: Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees on a first-come, first-served basis (while supplies last).
