2026 Collaborative Learning Conference on Mentoring and Leadership Initiatives in STEM

This is a two-day event co-hosted by Oakton College, the University of Illinois Chicago Math and Science Learning Center, and the Chicago Symposium on November 13–14. On November 13th the event will be at Oakton's Ray Hartstein Campus in Skokie. The event continues on November 14th at the University of Illinois Chicago — Math and Science Learning Center (845 W Taylor St., Chicago, IL 60607). The Chicago Symposium Series in collaboration with Oakton College and University of Illinois Chicago's Math and Science Learning Center is excited to bring together faculty, learning assistants, administrators, graduate students, and STEM educators to explore effective mentoring practices and innovative approaches to supporting student learning and leadership. Through keynote presentations, interactive workshops, breakout sessions, and opportunities for discussion, participants will exchange ideas, build collaborations, and strengthen mentoring and learning support across institutions.
