María Lugones Archive Symposium

Join us for the 2026 María Lugones Archive Symposium! This symposium will inaugurate the Maria Lugones Archive housed at the LLILAS Benson Latin American Collection. The archive is a treasure trove of Lugones’s work and life. This event aims to continue Lugones’s project of bringing people together in communities dedicated to forging coalitions across differences and supporting intellectual and political praxes that resist multiple oppressions. The Symposium asks us to consider: how do we engage with Lugones’s work in ways that sustain and extend her legacy of collaboration and community building? 🗓️When: October 8th to 10th 📍 Where: Thompson Conference Center, Austin, Texas. 🖋️ How: Register at the early bird rate through Tuesday, September 15. Registration after Thursday, October 1 must be done on-site. https://www.pdcnet.org/wp/registrations/2026-lugones/ The conference will be hosted by The University of Texas at Austin and co-sponsored by the Caribbean Philosophical Association, Latinx Feminisms Roundtable, and Pennsylvania State University.
