Ancient Ubiquitin Systems in Bacterial Antiviral Immunity Research in the Corbett lab is focused on the inner workings of molecular machines, particularly those that cut, recombine, and repair DNA. We combine cutting-edge structural biology techniques with mechanistic biochemistry and bioinformatics to understand how these machines work at the atomic level, and how they have adapted to new biological roles through evolution.
