Poe Fest 2026

It is once again time to add pumpkin spice to everything and celebrate the works of Edgar Allan Poe. The Department of English and Comparative Literature recently lost the originator of Poe Fest, Ed Sams, and I would like to make this an event to remember in his honor. Please join us on Friday, October 30, at 7 pm in Sweeney Hall 229. There will be treats, eats, a costume contest, and performances of Poe’s works, as well as original poems, stories, and art created by YOU! That’s right—you can present something by Poe or wow the crowd with your own composition.

Please contact me ([email protected]) if you would like to participate by reciting, reading, or performing.
