Faculty members Jason Moy, harpsichord, and Emily Nebel, violin, are joined by guest violinist Amelia Sie in this period instrument program exploring some of the most celebrated composers of the Golden Age of Baroque music. They will trace the development of the solo and trio sonata from the 17th century Stylus Fantasticus works of Schmelzer, Castello, and Mielczewski to those of four 18th century luminaries: Corelli, Handel, Caldara, and Quantz.
