Cybersecurity threats are constantly evolving, and attackers are finding new ways to target individuals and organizations. In this session, we’ll explore some of the most common cybersecurity threats and, more importantly, the simple steps you can take to recognize and avoid them. We’ll examine how cybercriminals use phishing, social engineering, malware, ransomware, credential theft, and other techniques to gain access to accounts, devices, and sensitive information. We’ll also look at how emerging technologies, including Generative AI, are making some attacks more convincing and difficult to recognize. The session will focus on real-world examples and practical strategies you can use every day to protect yourself and the organization’s information and resources. Student Attendance: No registration is required. Students are welcome to attend any session that interests them.  Simply review the session details and arrive at the scheduled location a few minutes before the start time. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Staff and faculty can access the online training by registering through Workday here.
