Greek Theater Programme Visit

Paul O’Mahony will present information about the British American Drama Academy’s Greek Theatre Programme, one of four summer courses offered by BADA. The Greek Theatre Programme is a truly unique opportunity to study and perform Greek tragedy and related works with leading theatre practitioners and academics in the UK and Greece. We partner with theatres such as the National Theatre of Great Britain and the National Theatre of Greece, and with Oxford University’s Archive of Performances of Greek and Roman Drama and Harvard’s Center for Hellenic Studies. You will visit the ancient sites of Delphi and Mycenae, the ancient theatre of Epidauros and Argos to appreciate their scale, design and acoustics. In Athens you’ll visit locations which were critical to its fledgling democracy and which helped shape theatre’s emergence as a radical art form. Every step of the way you’ll receive expert guidance and daily classes immersing you physically, vocally and psychologically in these incredible plays.
