Join us for an out-of-this-world concert from The Sun Ra Arkestra.
The Arkestra joins the Department of Music for several days of workshops with our students and caps off their residency with an exciting concert you won’t want to miss.
The Sun Ra Arkestra is one of the most influential and enduring ensembles in jazz history. Founded by visionary composer and bandleader Sun Ra in the 1950s, the Arkestra pioneered a groundbreaking fusion of big-band swing, free jazz, electronic experimentation, and Afrofuturist exploration.
