Join the Center for Culture Connections & Community and the Latin America and Latinx Studies Center for a viewing and discussion of San Juan Hill: Manhattan’s Lost Neighborhood. This documentary explores the history of the vibrant, predominantly Black and Puerto Rican working-class community that once existed on Manhattan’s West Side before it was demolished in the 1950s to make way for Lincoln Center.
Following the film, participants are invited to join a guided discussion and enjoy Puerto Rican empanadas.
All students are welcome.
