Title: Quantum error correction for the errors you have Abstract: Quantum error correction is a method for turning many noisy quantum components into less noisy components. Quantum error correction is usually defined in terms of stochastic stationary Pauli noise that is then detected by syndrome extraction circuits. In this talk, we will consider noise that is not stationary and not stochastic. We will find that when the noise is small enough, we can improve decoding decisions based only on the history of the stabilizer measurements without worrying about the physical details of the noise.
