“What is the Islamic Archive?” is a new SHC Global Humanities Research Workshop. This inaugural event will feature lightning presentations by Stanford scholars on methodology, materiality, interdisciplinarity, and the challenges in the archives they work with. The presentations will be followed by an open discussion on interdisciplinary developments aimed at addressing the complex question: what constitutes the Islamic archive?

This event is co-sponsored by Stanford Global Studies and the Stanford Humanities Center.
