Mt. Adams Backpacking

Please note this is a two day backpacking trip From Oct. 9-10. Bask in the beauty of Mt. Adams in the southern Washington Cascades on this two-night backpacking adventure. We will leave Corvallis Friday night and camp near the mountain before setting off on the trail Saturday from Killen Creek Trailhead. We will hike ~5 miles and sleep at High Camp, a site with glorious views where mountaineers often spend the night before attempting to summit. Don't let those 5 miles fool you - this is a moderate to strenuous hike with 2300 feet of elevation gain. Some backpacking experience recommended, but doable for beginners with stamina!
