Public Nights at the Leitner Family Observatory & Planetarium

The Leitner Family Observatory & Planetarium is a facility of the Yale Department of Astronomy dedicated to education, public outreach, and student research. We invite you to come to one of our free indoor planetarium shows presented on Tuesday evenings. Seats cannot be reserved, so please arrive early if you are bringing a family or group. Outdoor telescope observing will also take place on the observation deck after sunset on Tuesday evenings, weather and clear skies permitting. Be sure to check the announcement banner at the top of the website for the most up-to-date information or cancellations the day of the event. Reservations are not required for any public night events.
