Conduct a Literature Review and Narrow Your Research Questions
Stop drowning in sources and start mapping the conversation. This workshop demystifies what a literature review is, what types exist, and how to pick the right type for your project/discipline. You’ll learn to narrow research questions strategically, use Zotero to capture, organize, and annotate sources, and understand the research process as a circular, repeatable series of stages.
This is a drop-in workshop (no registration required) and designed to guide you in acquiring/developing research skills necessary to move through different stages of the research cycle. Can be applied to projects ranging from course assignments to theses and dissertations. Open to current UC San Diego undergraduate and graduate students in Arts & Humanities and Social Sciences.
This is workshop 2 of a three part series.
Workshop 1: Find Your Scholarly Community: Basic Searching to Identify Research Questions Workshop 3: Design Your Research Project — Identify Kinds of Resources, Research Methods and Where to Go
