Dogfight

From the composers of Dear Evan Hansen and La La Land comes a heartwrenching story of love in a time of war. Set in 1963 on the eve of JFK’s assassination, Dogfight follows Eddie Birdlace, a young Marine spending his final night in San Francisco before shipping out to Vietnam. A cruel party game organized by his Marine buddies leads him to Rose, a shy and idealistic aspiring musician who has no idea why she was invited. Featuring Pasek and Paul’s sweeping, folk-inflected score, the musical unfolds amid the twinkling lights of San Francisco and the stirrings of a new countercultural America, as it delicately traces an unlikely romance over one unforgettable night on the brink of a changing world.
