The event will feature a keynote address by John Symons (University of Kansas), titled Interdisciplinary Research and Agentic AI: Managing Workflow and Organizing Large Interdisciplinary Teams. Drawing on his work at the intersection of philosophy, AI, and interdisciplinary collaboration, Symons will explore how agentic AI is reshaping research practices and what it means for the future of large-scale scholarly collaboration.

The day will also showcase research from members of the AI & Society Research Cohort. Presentations include Suchi Deb's work on adaptive conversational AI in immersive high-stakes training environments, Maryam Rafieifar's examination of AI-related risks in immigrant communities, Mark Hand's exploration of AI as a political and economic actor, and Doug Stark's discussion of game design and agentic AI. Together, these talks highlight the diverse ways faculty across disciplines are engaging with the social, cultural, political, and technological implications of artificial intelligence.
