The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Quakertown Memorial at Texas Woman’s University will dedicate an outdoor space designed to honor the historic Black neighborhood displaced in the 1920s. Bringing together university leadership, local residents, and descendants of Quakertown families, the event will celebrate community resilience through speeches, historical storytelling, and the unveiling of the commemorative exhibit.
