Twenty-five years ago, the September 11, 2001, attacks in New York and Washington, D.C. shocked the world. Dramatic changes in American life and foreign policy ensued, including new domestic security measures and the launching of the War on Terror.
Our expert panel will explain how the attacks transformed the United States and the world. Peter Feaver is a political scientist who served in George W. Bush’s White House. Landreth Freeman worked for the CIA for 22 years, specializing in counterintelligence. Chris Kojm spent decades working in US foreign policy and national security and served as deputy director of the 9/11 Commission. Joseph Stieb is a historian of U.S. military and foreign policy. Historian Michael Morgan will moderate the discussion.
