Fall is one of the best times of the year for hiking, and Wellness and Recreation's hike at Stone Mountain State Park in northwestern North Carolina offers the perfect opportunity to experience the season's beauty. We'll hike to the top of the park's granite dome, a 600-foot natural wonder. Along the way, you can enjoy breathtaking views, waterfalls and hopefully catch a glimpse of the stunning fall foliage. You'll also get to see the historic Hutchinson Homestead, a restored mid-19th-century farm located at the mountain's base. We'll provide transportation, lunch and instruction for a seamless and enjoyable day of adventure. This will be a moderately strenuous, full-day hike.
