The Lecture Series features selected newly tenured or promoted faculty in the College of Education & Human Development who have accumulated a unique body of knowledge and insights worth sharing. Each lecturer will discuss personal and professional learnings that have led them to this point in their career, followed by a Q&A session.
The final speaker in the 2026-27 debut series is Dr. Kara Wettersten, professor of Counseling Psychology. Wettersten’s research focuses on the social-emotional factors that contribute to academic success and the development of healthy relationship skills in both children and adults. Her clinical interests include solution-focused therapy, Gottman couples counseling, experiential therapies such as EFT, domestic violence, and general clinical practice.
All are invited to attend, but advance registration is required. A reception will follow.
