SciFlix - The Lost Boys (1987)

Join us for a free screening of “The Lost Boys,” an 80s cult classic flick. After their mom’s divorce, teenager Michael (Jason Patric) and his little brother, Sam (Corey Haim), move to the neon-lit beach town of Santa Carla, California, where missing-person posters are everywhere. Michael falls for a mysterious girl, Star (Jami Gertz), and gets pulled into the orbit of David’s (Kiefer Sutherland) motorcycle-riding gang. Sam teams up with the Frog brothers, Edgar (Corey Feldman) and Alan (Jamison Newlander), who think something sinister is going on. As Michael changes, Sam has to figure out what’s happening before it’s too late, with their mom, Lucy (Dianne Wiest), none the wiser.

SciFlix is a community outreach effort designed to openly and honestly discuss science, theories, and ethics in popular fiction. Films begin at 6:30 p.m. in Regnier Hall Auditorium. Stay after the screening for an audience Q&A session with a panel of experts, who will provide their reactions to the film.
