Talk Title: New Results from a Search for Dark Matter at High Recoil Energy with the LUX-ZEPLIN Experiment Abstract: The LUX-ZEPLIN (LZ) experiment is a dual-phase xenon time projection chamber designed to search for dark matter interactions with unprecedented sensitivity. In a recent search, LZ has observed one event in a region of low expected background consistent with a nuclear recoil that might be produced in certain interactions of galactic dark matter. Details of the analysis, results, and future of LZ and liquid xenon searches for dark matter will be discussed. Host: Lucas Darroch
