Barkandji photographer Nici Cumpston discusses her art and curation practices within the context of working with Indigenous collections and communities. Cumpston is the director of the Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection at the University of Virginia. This presentation connects with themes of contemporary Australian art in our current exhibition “Christian Thompson: Future Ancestor.” 💐
Admission to this event and to the Spencer is free for everyone, always. Free parking is available in designated spaces on the first level of the Mississippi Street garage across from the Museum. Check in at our Welcome Desk with your license plate number for parking validation. 🚗
