NIU Art Museum Grand Opening Celebration

Attend the Grand Opening Celebration as the NIU Art Museum introduces two new exhibitions. The Olmec Heads Experience is an exhibition featuring 25 colossal artist-designed works of art inspired by the stone sculptures carved out of massive basalt boulders by the Olmec civilization of Mesoamerica from 1200 BC to 400 AD in what is now the tropical lowlands of Mexico. Celebrating 40: Burma Art Collection is a retrospective with artwork from NIU's extensive Burma Art Collection on the 40th Anniversary of its establishment. The reception and exhibitions are free and open to the public.
