Join Clyde Sorenson, alumni associate distinguished professor at NC State University, for a look at one of the most spectacular animal behaviors on Earth: migration. Why do animals migrate, and what are the risks and rewards of making these incredible journeys? Sorenson will explore several important migrations in North America, including those of monarch butterflies, humpback whales, neotropical migrant songbirds and waterfowl, and discuss the conservation challenges these animals face.
