Table Ronde with Marc Bellemare (Cohere x Reliant AI)

Marc G. Bellemare is one of the rare AI leaders who has conquered every stage of the journey—from groundbreaking research to a multimillion-dollar exit. Over 20 years, he has published 70+ scientific papers, written two books, helped build DeepMind’s original research group, and led reinforcement learning at Google Brain—where his work helped shape modern AI.

In 2023, he co-founded Reliant AI and raised $13.5M to transform how global biopharma companies use scientific data. Just three years later, Reliant was acquired by Canadian AI unicorn Cohere, where Marc is now VP of Modelling. This is a must-attend conversation for founders who want to build world-class technology, raise serious capital, and turn an ambitious idea into an industry-defining company.

We’ll discuss:

Turning frontier research into a scalable business

Winning customers in AI and biopharma

Raising millions from Canada

Building toward a strategic acquisition

Where the next massive AI opportunities are

What is Table Ronde?

Table Ronde is Montreal's monthly fireside chat for builders. Each month, we sit down with one founder, CEO or investor who's been through it, and get the real story: the hard calls, the near-misses, and what they'd do differently.

One guest, one honest conversation, open Q&A, and a room full of people building something.

Past guests include the founders of Dialogue, Stay22, nesto, Goodfood and Novisto.

35+ talks · 3,500+ community · 120+ builders in the room every month
