Ever sit down to read and can't find the quiet? Your phone buzzes, and ten minutes later you've read one page and seen twenty notifications.
On Thursday, Oct 8th, we're reading together. One hour, phones away, everyone with their own book. Come alone or bring your book buddies. Add to that some live music with a classical musician on the piano.
The first hour is for social reading. After that, the time is yours, offering the easiest conversation starter.

PART 1: READING (18.30-19.30) w/ Live Piano
We start with an hour of just reading. Phones away, no small talk, just you, your book, and everyone around you doing the same thing. Gentle live piano music will accompany us all.
🎹 Pianist who will be performing:

Sam Cantor, originally from Canada, is a pianist based in Berlin whose compositions blends jazz, classical, and blues into expressive, fluid performances. Improvisational and deeply responsive, his playing shifts with the room - shaping each moment in real time.

PART 2: SOCIAL (19.30 - 20.30)
Then we open it up. Small social connection games, background music, and it turns into what Gezellig sessions always turn into - good conversation with people you didn't know an hour ago. Ask the person next to you what they were reading. You might leave with a new book on your list, or a new person in your life.
WHAT TO BRING:
a book (or two!)
a friend, or come solo and make one.
an actual willingness to put your phone away for an hour or the whole time 📖
