Oil Painting Class - Still Life Pumpkins (Halloween themed)

Calling all aspiring painters! Welcome to Artskool, a curated oil painting class hosted at the artists residence in the equestrian district of Burbank.
Can't make it? See our schedule for more classes.
🎨 Join us for our annual still life Halloween themed class!
In this 3 hour oil painting class we'll be painting a still life of pumpkins and halloween themed objects. We'll go over the materials, how to build up the painting in layers, and color mixing. You'll also receive individual feedback and will be able to see a live demo of the process as well. I'll walk you through every step of the way!
👩🏽‍🎨 You'll learn the techniques of the Renaissance Masters as we create our very own masterpieces in the style of traditional realism. This is a great way to learn how to use oil paints and can serve as a jumping off point to develop your own unique style.
🖼️ By the end of our time together you'll have a beautiful painting to take home with you!
🖌️ No experience necessary, all supplies are provided (including aprons!)

About your instructor: Xiaosy Chen
I love using color, and I love painting people! My current challenge is to paint so much that the paint on my palette never has time to dry. Originally from the Bay Area, I now live in Pasadena after obtaining my BFA in Drawing and Painting with Illustration Emphasis from Laguna College of Art and Design. All artists must wear a variety of hats, and some of mine include teaching, scenic painting, and live event painting.
