Presented by the UBC Sauder Centre for Climate and Business Solutions as part of Canada Climate Week XChange

What happens when the ambition behind a billion-dollar IPO is turned toward global conservation?
For Dax Dasilva, founder of technology company Lightspeed and conservation nonprofit Age of Union, entrepreneurial success created an opportunity to pursue a larger purpose: protecting the planet.
Join the technology entrepreneur, conservationist, author and UBC alumnus for a conversation about the power of storytelling to advance conservation and climate action. From leading Lightspeed through a $1.7-billion IPO to collaborating with the late Dr. Jane Goodall and Indigenous conservation leaders, Dax will share how storytelling can inspire people to see the world differently—and move from awareness to action.
The evening also marks an exciting new chapter for climate storytelling at UBC Sauder.
Through a transformational gift, we're launching the David and Dorothy Lam Climate Dialogue Studio and inaugural Climate Creators Program—giving the next generation the tools and platform to share stories that can shape our climate future.
