Alberni Inlet, Scout Camp Beach, Mount Hankin Bluffs

About the Trail🌲🗻

This 10 km loop starts at the beginning of the Alberni Inlet Trail off Ship Creek Road and heads through the Alberni Valley down to a viewpoint over the inlet. From there it visits Scout Camp Beach and climbs to a viewpoint over Mount Hankin Bluffs.

The route runs through a mix of forest, coastal trail, and logging road. It’s easy to follow and dog-friendly, with great views over Port Alberni Inlet along the way.

Physical Expectation ✅A solid moderate day with a good bit of climbing. The short logging road segment can be exposed, but the trail is well marked throughout.
