Join Empower Oakland's volunteer team at NIDO’s BackYard for a free, family-friendly evening as we break down what’s at stake this November, with a special focus on the Oakland school board. Why it matters to all of us: Great public schools improve quality of life across the entire Town—whether you have kids in school or not. On November 3, three of seven OUSD board seats are up for election, shaping the future of our city for years to come. What to expect: - Program: At 6:30 PM we will reveal our November voter guide, including endorsements for school board, transit, and local ballot measures.
