Stand Together as One - Outdoor Film Screening + Q&A with Salim Amin | 6pm

Paper Café, in collaboration with Kulture Klub, presents an outdoor screening of Stand Together As One, a documentary tracing the story behind the images that brought the 1983–85 famine in northern Ethiopia to the attention of the world.

The film follows Kenyan photojournalist Mo Amin and BBC correspondents Michael Buerk and Mike Wooldridge as they navigated government restrictions and civil war to document the crisis. Their reporting helped spark an unprecedented international humanitarian response, with artists including Harry Belafonte and Bob Geldof mobilising support through We Are the World and Do They Know It’s Christmas?

Featuring interviews with those at the centre of the story and never-before-seen footage from the Mohamed Amin Archive in Nairobi.
