A Day at The Shard: Angels Den Investor Bootcamp

Want to back startups, or build a career in venture capital? Spend a day learning how investors make decisions, 32 floors above the City at The Shard, with two of the best-known names in UK startup investing as guest facilitators.

Angels Den has been connecting founders and investors for almost 20 years and has helped fund hundreds of UK startups. In this practical, in-person bootcamp, we’ll take you through a real investment process step by step: first screening a startup, then forming a view, and finally defending your decision to an investment committee.

This isn’t a lecture series. You’ll work on live material, think the way investors think and leave knowing how a deal actually gets done.

Guest facilitators

Anthony Rose, Co-founder and CEO of SeedLegalsAnthony founded SeedLegals, the platform behind thousands of UK funding rounds, and was previously CTO of BBC iPlayer. If you want to know how deals are structured and closed, few people have seen more of them.

Andy Ayim MBE, Founder of The Angel Investing SchoolAndy has trained a new generation of angel investors and is one of the UK’s leading voices on making venture more accessible. He’ll share how first-time investors build confidence, judgement and a portfolio.
