Massive Attack - Mezzanine (1998)

For October 2026, we take it back to 1998.

Massive Attack's Mezzanine is their third album and is widely recognised as a ‘90s classic. It still sounds like the future.

The Bristol trio move towards a darker, more atmospheric sound, pushing beyond the confines of trip-hop.

Recorded amid creative friction, Mezzanine is a guitar-laced album with traces of dub, hip-hop and post-punk.
