A Google DeepMind researcher, a philosopher and a UK Gov AI Incubator lead walk into Ramen Space to debate one question: are we there yet?
Everyone's talking about AGI. Almost no one agrees on what it is, when it's coming, or what happens after.
AGI IRL is a live, in-person night built for people who want to think this through, not just doomscroll takes on it.
Expect:
Quick-fire thought experiments and a live quiz to get your brain warmed up- A panel from government, academia and a frontier AI lab going head to head on what AGI means and how close we are- Real questions & opinions- Drinks and networking with people who care about this as much as you do
The night:
6:00 - 6:30pm: Welcome drinks6:30 - 7:15pm: Team up, thought experiments, quickfire quiz7:15 - 8:00pm: Panel discussion and audience questions8:00 - 9:00pm: Networking drinks
Venue: Ramen Space, London
We want this to be shaped by the room, not just the panel. When you sign up, tell us which questions you most want answered on the night, things like:
What is AGI, and are we there yet?- How far off is it, and what are the realistic scenarios?- Who should control it, and who benefits from the wealth it creates?- Should AGI have rights, or a say in anything?- What should stay human, no matter what?
The panel:
Andreas Kirsch, Google DeepMind- Jordy Juritz, Incubator for AI (i.AI), UK Government- Brian Ball, Northeastern University LondonSeats are limited, so grab your spot now.
