Cleveland, OH OHF Community Day

Join your fellow makers and tinkerers in the Greater Cleveland area for our inaugural Community Day celebration! We'll have plenty of free swag from the Open Home Foundation and select vendors.

Our planned agenda is listed below.

Vendor Showcase: I'll give a brief overview and demonstration for items that have been donated to our event by vendors in the Home Assistant community.

Some products include: an ESPHome Starter Kit, presence sensors from Apollo Automation, and the Slate Switch.

Everyone present for the vendor showcase gets a raffle ticket.

Marketplace: We'll have a separate area for folks to trade (or give away) home automation gear and see our vendor swag hands-on.

Note that the library's policy doesn't permit selling products, so no cash transactions!

Lightning Talks: Short, ~5 minute presentations on any topic that interests you. A projector will be available for those who would like to use visual aides.

Everyone who presents will get an extra raffle ticket.

Birds of a Feather: Loosely-structured discussion groups based around a topic of interest. Join in the ones we've planned or start your own!

Networking: Everything related to communication among your home automation products. For instance, do you prefer Zigbee or Z-Wave? Maybe Wi-Fi? Want to talk about your network security instead?

AI: It's here to make your home more efficient in every way! Do you use AI to build content in Home Assistant? How about for Assist?

Raffle: We'll hold a drawing for the items in the vendor showcase.
