As agents take on more of the software development lifecycle, what happens when they produce code that passes every test but is fundamentally wrong, access something they shouldn't, or make a mistake that goes unnoticed until production? 👀

She Bytes Back is teaming up with Snyk for an evening of candid, technical talks about what it actually takes to build, evaluate and trust AI systems.

We're getting into evals, permissions, testing, observability and guardrails, including what teams only realised they needed after something went wrong.

Our speakers on the night and what they'll be covering:

🎤 Wen Qing Lim – Machine Learning Engineer at Personio will be exploring what happens when AI is responsible for evaluating other AI, sharing lessons from building evals for a customer-facing assistant and tackling the question: who judges the judge, and when can you actually trust it?

🎤 Anna Kovacs – Software Engineer at Snyk will be sharing what happened when her team built an AI bot to fix security rules and review its own work, what went wrong as it scaled, and why confidently wrong AI judgements taught them to measure before trusting.

🎤 Amy Kuner – Software Engineer at Zoopla will be getting into how her team used evals, guardrails and feedback loops to fine-tune a consumer-facing AI agent, with real examples of what worked, what didn't and the unexpected traps engineers should watch out for.
