Before Ghana's independence was televised, it was filmed by one man.
Breakwater Studios and Blackbird House invite you to a private screening of The Eyes of Ghana, from two-time Academy Award-winning director Ben Proudfoot. Stay for a Q&A with the filmmaking team and a live performance from the film's score by its composer, Oscar winner Kris Bowers (Green Book, King Richard, Bridgerton).
About the film
The Eyes of Ghana follows Chris Hesse, personal cameraman to Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's first president, and the more than 1,300 films he protected for decades. From Higher Ground, the production company founded by Barack and Michelle Obama, and Breakwater Studios, with Barack and Michelle Obama as executive producers. It is also the first film produced by IShowSpeed.
