Sydney Kids Book Club: James and the Giant Peach | Young Readers Group (Ages 8-10)

This month, our Young Readers (ages 8–10) are diving into Roald Dahl’s much-loved classic, James and the Giant Peach.

Having read the book ahead of the session, the children will be encouraged to engage in a discussion around the story and the characters through fun activities and games. There will be plenty of opportunities to share opinions, get creative, laugh and even make new friends — we’re all about making your young ones remember that reading can be a lot of fun.

Our session will come to a close with a gentle mindfulness practice, offering the children’s big feelings a moment to slow down.

A little note for parents 💛

To help the children feel comfortable, engaged and free to participate, we ask that parents and carers drop their children off and allow them to enjoy the session independently.

We’ll be there to guide and support them throughout the session, and we look forward to welcoming you back at pick-up time!
