Some questions don’t want an answer. They want a room.
Doors at 6:30 PM, program begins at 7:00 PM.
One Way Life: Gathering No. 2, The Spell and the Word, is an intimate evening of poetry, reflection, and conversation built around a single question:
Can naming something change it?
The theme is the mystery of language: how words give shape to our experiences, carry meaning, and change the way we see ourselves and one another.
The evening will feature poetry by Gabrielle Bates, author of Judas Goat, followed by unhurried conversation and collective reflection. Just bring your attention, your curiosity, and your willingness to listen.
Friday, November 20
Folio: The Seattle Athenaeum, Seattle
Early Owl tickets are $20 while they last, then $30. Seating is limited to 30 to protect the intimacy of the experience and give each person room to speak, listen, and be heard.
