Indie Sambar Listening Sessions 7: The Scene (2015)

The times had a changed in 2015 since Thermal and a Quarter's early landmark work (including Jupiter Cafe and Plan B) that cemented and gave utterance to "Bangalore rock" and its scene. It was the heydey of social media, electronic dance music, the accelerating pace of taste and the proliferation of subcultures. What does this mean for The Scene ? TAAQ takes no prisoners in their response, the brilliant 2015 release of the same name. Doubling down on their classic sound, yet dabbling in electronic effects, Bruce Lee Mani's songwriting shines as TAAQ direct their gaze outward onto mid 10s music. Join us on Sunday, November 1 to discuss: ten years down the line, how the world of The Scene holds up ?
