Country Roads: Pumpkins & Whiskey - The season’s last long hike 23 km

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

When on the waitlist send me a message using 'Contact the Host' (on the left side, or at bottom if on mobile), so I know you're committed.

There are no automatic transfers. Being on the waitlist alone does not guarantee a spot.

Slots are allocated in the order messages are received.

TRAVEL

Participants will receive notification of the departure location/times and return times via email/SMS and on the event page.

Deutschland Ticket or organise your own rail fare.

Meeting point is on the platform, by the first carriage. Look out for the viszla dog.

​TOUR

This will be the last long hike of the 2026 season. Hopefully we will have some glorious colour left to enjoy from Autumn. Our tour starts at Borkheide through forest. We will stop in the small town of Klaistow for lunch and then take some time at the farm shops (if the weather isn't accomodating, we can also take lunch in the restaurant). From here will continue north towards the Glina Whiskey Distiller to 'warm the cockles of our soul' before heading towards the final destination of Werder.

FOOD & DRINK

Bring food for lunch, snacks & plenty of water for the hike. Option to have lunch at the farm can be decided by the group. Dinner on Insel Werder for those that are interested.

​RETURN

Return to Berlin is every 30mins.

WHAT ELSE

You are responsible for your own safety READ MORE HERE.

I prefer smaller groups, as this is less stress on the nature.

Wear weather appropriate clothes and sturdy shoes.

Dogs present/allowed. Please do not feed the dog(s)!

Hike will be at a standard pace of about 4km per hour

Hikes are FREE. But, all costs are yours.

Please note my hikes don't always go to plan!

Only thunderstorms & torrential rain will halt this hike!

RULES

Attendance PolicyIf you are moved to “going” and are either a NO SHOW or do not update your RSVP at least 72 hours before the hike starts, you will receive a 2 consecutive-hike ban from my future hikes, no exceptions!

Additionally, all participants failing to show up or update their RSVP will be marked as NO SHOW to advise other organisers.

DO NOT just SHOW UP - you will be banned from HIKE BERLIN

Why These Rules?Late RSVPs and no-shows, are a very annoying thing to manage, and therefore I introduced a two tier signup process, to prioritise fairness for the community.

The goal is to give committed individuals a better chance to participate and maintain a positive group experience. Not just a first-click first-serve basis.
