What happens at Forest Friends? This is a free nature immersion program hosted by Stroller Strolls! We follow the format set by the Free Forest School: introductions, a short hike through the woods, child-led exploration time, and circle time to conclude the day.

Will there be bugs, mud, and dirt? Yes! You and your child should dress for messy outdoor play including sun protection and sturdy shoes.

Will the event be rescheduled for bad weather? Not unless the weather is dangerous! Forest Friends will be held rain or shine, year round, to give our children the opportunity to explore the forest during different seasons and get used to spending time outside in all weather. Please dress accordingly!

Can I show up late? We will allow 15-20 minutes for everyone to arrive before doing introductions but then we will start our hike! Please do your best to arrive on time as it can be disruptive to the group for families to join halfway through our event.

Is this wheelchair/stroller accessible? Unfortunately, no, due to the nature of meeting in the woods. Babywearing is recommended for infants and younger toddlers who may not be able to walk long stretches. Keep an eye out for Stroller Strolls playdates at nature centers with accessible indoor and outdoor areas!
