A Big Dill: a day of art, food and stories.

For America’s National Pickle Day, we’re bringing a little New York to Amsterdam with paintings on the walls, food to share and plenty of stories around the table.

Our special guest is Harvey Herman, a 93-year-old New York artist who sold “pickles for a nickel” as a boy. Today he paints them, still eats one every day and swears they’re the secret to his endless energy!

Meet Harvey, explore his pickle paintings and a selection of his other work, and discover the food traditions connecting New York and Amsterdam.

1pm · Where art meets foodArtist and lifelong pickle lover Harvey Herman joins Carlo from st-Art to talk about painting the everyday, from the humble pickle to finding beauty in the things around us.

2–4pm · Neighbourhood aperitivoGather over prosecco, deli bites and music and make some friends.
